Who we are
LISA is a private company. We help people find out whether they may qualify for Social Security disability benefits and connect them with a disability advocate. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with the Social Security Administration.
What we collect
When you take our disability quiz:
– Your answers (for example, age range, work history, health and treatment status, and benefits you receive). We don’t save your answers on our servers. They stay in your browser on your device, except that the TrustedForm visit record (below) shows what was on the page and what you selected.
– The phone number you enter, and your email if you choose to give it.
– Your quiz result (for example, “may qualify”), along with basic quality checks.
– How you reached us: the ad or link you clicked, ad click IDs (for example Google “gclid” or Meta “fbclid”), campaign tags, and the page address.
– A record of your visit created by our service provider TrustedForm (ActiveProspect). It shows what was on the page and what you clicked or entered, so there’s proof of what you saw.
– Standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and cookies or similar tools used by us and our ad partners.
When you call us: call details (the number you called from, date, time, length) and what you tell the advocate.
How we use it
- To connect your call to your quiz result so we don’t ask the same questions twice.
- To check our ads are working: we match the calls we get back to the ads that led to them.
- To improve our ads, including asking ad platforms to find other people who may be interested.
- To prevent fraud, duplicate requests and misuse.
- To keep records required by law, and to respond to legal requests.
Who we share it with
- Ad partners (for example Meta and Google). Their tags on our pages record that you visited and used the quiz, and when you finished it (for example “quiz started” or “quiz completed”). Later, we send a hashed (scrambled, one-way) copy of your phone number or email, ad click IDs, and whether a call led to a sign-up. We don’t send your individual quiz answers. These partners handle data under their own privacy policies.
- The disability advocate you speak with, when you choose to call.
- Service providers that run our website, phone system, hosting and TrustedForm. They may use the data only to provide their services to us.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal information.
Calls and texts
We do not call or text you unless you ask us to, for example by checking a separate, optional consent box. If you agree to texts, reply STOP at any time to stop them. You can also tell us on any call to stop calling.
How long we keep it
We keep the phone number, hashed contact data, quiz result and ad click details for 120 days, then delete them. TrustedForm keeps visit records under its own policy (about 90 days unless we save a record to answer a dispute). Quiz answers saved in your browser stay there until you clear your browser data. We may keep records longer if the law requires it or there is a dispute.
Your choices
- Opt out or delete. Email [email protected] with the phone number you used. We will delete your data and stop using it for ad matching within 30 days. We’ll keep a hashed copy only as needed to honor your request.
- Ad settings. You can limit personalized ads in your Google and Meta account settings and with your browser or device settings.
- State rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data, or to opt out of targeted advertising. Email [email protected] to make a request. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (SSL). No system is 100% secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
